During the 9 of the Nairobi Summer School, Thematic Lead took the ongoing as the participants were engaged in the Just Transition and many more towards Climate Justice.
Eugene N. Nforngwa in his guidance focused on the Just Transition and Energy Access Linkages between energy access development, just transition and conflict. “Energy transition is replacing high emissions fossil fuels with low emissions (renewable) energy sources,” says @Eugene_Nforngwa during the @Summer_School1 organised by @PACJA1.
The basics of Renewable Energy Governance and Democracy were shared by James Kakeeto, the WWF Africa Regional Energy Hub during the Nairobi Summer School. “Africa needs to work on planning policies development as well as the key responsibilities and priorities as well so that the best future may be promised in all sectors, most especially on Climate regard,” says Robert Muthami, the Programmes Coordinator at FES-K.
Prof. Satishkumar Belliethathan in relation to Wangari Maathai’s statement said how the world can be transformed, “We can transform the world by creating the change we want and ensuring a better future. That will only be possible if we all work together in regards to Climate Justice.”

As Philip Kilonzo, Head of Policy and Advocacy at PACJA (Pan- African Climate Justice Alliance), a Development Climate Justice Practitioner, Policy and Campaigns, Pro-poor in Analysis, Natural Resources and Livelihoods takes the Summer School participants through Advocacy Tools, Techniques and approaches in Climate Justice movement – Some Groups presented their takes.
Augustine Njamnshi, Chair Political and Technical Committee at PACJA said that ‘Training’ will continue until we get Climate Justice. “It’s nice that young people are being equipped with the skills and with that, they can do the advocacy to ensure some significant results on the ground,” he said.
“I urge you to use the given platforms in ensuring the existence of Climate Justice as in ‘Come what may!’ We won’t just release you like that, here we are for young people like you. Count on us if need be,” says Charles Mwangi, Ag. Executive Director at PACJA.
Towards the end of the Nairobi Summer School, all participants including the Rwanda representative, that is a team of @RccdnRwanda staff received Certificates of fully participation in the @Summer_School1, the 2 weeks training organized by @PACJA1.
