Our main goal

To see communities capable of coping with national and global climate change challenges for sustainable development.

Our aspiration

To be a lead network in Rwanda that advocates and build capacities for community resilience to climate change, justice and equitable development.

Our approach

Environmental stewardship, sustainability, climate justice, transparency, collaboration, innovation, community engagement, education, adaptability, ethical practices, empowerment, and a global perspective in its mission to address climate change and promote sustainable development.

OUR IMPACT

We partnered with TROCAIRE to strengthen agroecology for climate change resilience by empowering communities by building their capacity and knowledge in climate-resilient agriculture, training sessions, workshops, and farmer-to-farmer knowledge exchange.

Our work with TROCAIRE involved supporting communities to become aware of climate change impacts, Rwandan climate targets, and the communities’ potential contribution to mitigating GHG emissions and adapting to climate change effects. We achieve this through awareness-raising measures, capacity building, and exchanges of lessons learned, facilitated through member NGOs of the RCCDN network.
