Faustin Vuningoma possesses a Masters degree in Business Administration and has been an environment and climate change activist for the past 14 years in his civil society career. He has held managerial and leadership positions at national, regional and African continent levels. He currently coordinates the Rwanda Climate Change and Development Network (RCCDN) which is the
lead network in Rwanda that advocates for community resilience to climate change, justice and equitable development.

James Harera
Program Officer
James works for RCCDN as a Program Officer in charge of Advocacy. Alongside his advocacy work, he is also the focal
person of the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit Nationally Determined Contributions project aimed at enhancing civil society organizations role in implementing the nationally determined contributions from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Rwanda. James has a Bachelor's degree in Human resource management from the School of Finance and Banking and has experience working with government, international NGOs, and the private sector for the National Virunga Park Expansion Project.

Regis Nkwanya
Director of Finance
Regis is the Director of Finance and Administration and has worked for RCCDN since 2022. He has a Bachelor's degree in accounting sciences from the National University of Rwanda and a Masters degree in Finance. Regis has a certificate of Corporate Governance from the Institute of Directors India and a certificate in International Public Sector Accounting Standards from the United Kingdom. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Rwanda and has been involved in the finance sectors in various positions since 2008.

Donatha Nibagwire
Gender champion
Donatha is a gender champion and holds a bachelor’s degree in political and administrative sciences from the University of Rwanda. She currently serves as a gender officer and TROCAIRE funded projects coordinator with a special attention on membership at RCCDN. For the last 20 years, she has accumulated experience in organizational and project management, gender equality and mainstreaming, women’s empowerment, child protection, gender-based violence prevention, peace building and conflict sensitive development, unity and reconciliation with local government, nation and international non-governmental organizations.

Jeannette Kawera
Communications Officer
Jeannette Kawera is a passionate journalist, writer and content creator, certified by RNW in Media Training for Advocacy and Social Change in the Netherlands. She acquired training courses on Digital Journalism at Reuters and received training and is a certified Environmental and Climate Change Journalis from the US Agency for Global Media and The United States Broadcasting Board of Governors. Kawera graduated from YALA Women’s International Journalism Academy and has worked for several big
Media Houses including InyaRwanda Ltd. and currently works with The NewTimes Publication, Rwanda.
After majoring in Hospitality Management & Leadership at Akilah Institute for Women, she is now pursuing Mass Media & Communications at Mount Kenya University. She wrote for Dedza Films, a boutique film distributor & hybrid consulting agency dedicated to bringing nuanced films by underrepresented filmmakers to new audiences. She won twice as the Female Entertainment Journalist of the Year 2022 Awards from Karisimbi Events and holds two Special Recognition Awards: The 2021 Humanitarian Award Winner in the Consumers Choice Awards due to her 'Fight Against Period Poverty Campaign' and the 2022 Excellence Service Award from B4B.
Kawera is a Social Media Manager and Content Creator and she works as the Communications Officer at Rwanda Climate Change and Development Network (RCCDN). Previously, she helped RSW Australia-based Ministries in organizing and implementing the Gospel Talent Hunt Competition.

Catherine Cishamake
Accountant
Catherine is one of RCCDN’s multi-skilled Accountants with a keen eye for detail. She has worked at RCCDN since Spring of 2021. Catherine has over a decade of experience in various accounting roles at a number of civil society organisation before joining the Rwanda Climate Change and Development Network team. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Finance, with a specialisation in Accounting from the Adventist University of Central Africa.

Hope Murekatete
Assistant
Rwanda Climate Change and Development Network’s Administrative Assistant is Hope Murekatete. Hope has a Bachelor of Arts with a specialty in Management from the University of Travel, Tourism, and Business Studies. Before joining RCCDN in September of 2023, Hope worked for years in the hospitality industry in several positions. Most recently, she was the Hospitality Manager at the Hilltop Hotel.

Peace Murungi
Accountant
Peace Murungi is an accountant working with the Rwanda Climate Change and Development Network. Before coming to RCCDN hoped worked in Finance at Viagroforestry. Peace earned a Bachelors degree in finance and banking accounting from the School of Finance. She also has a Masters degree of finance from Mount Kenya University.

Dr. Abias Maniragaba
Director of Research
Dr. Maniragaba Currently is the Director of Research for the Rwanda Climate Change and Development Network (RCCDN). He possesses a Doctorate of Philosophy Degree in Environmental Studies with majors in Environmental Health and Environmental Economics. Dr. Abias has been a university Lecturer and consultant for a period of 12 years and has an academic grade of Senior Lecturer. He has supervised and published different research on environmental-related issues.

Sylvia Gata Salama
Program Coordinator
Salama is the Programmes Coordinator of RCCDN. Before she came to this organisation, she worked in numerous roles as both a Project Manager and as a Director of Finance and Administration. Salama came to RCCDN in September of 2023 and has a degree in Business Administration from the National University of Rwanda.
