RCCDN and a member hosted PACJA in the tree-planting event

Green Goal Rwanda Initiative, a member of RCCDN and a community-based organization involved in forest and land restoration, and native tree species conservation in partnership with Gasabo District and RCCDN hosted PACJA to plant various tree species in Bumbogo Sector on December 17, 2022.

It was after 4 consecutive days of meetings in Kigali; 2 days of RCCDN hosting PACJA in Enhancing the Capacity of CSOs and Private Sectors to play a meaningful role in the realization of renewable energy and energy access for Sub-Saharan Africa, and 2 days of Post COP27 Multi-Stakeholder Consultative Workshop.

RCCDN and PACJA having gatherings in Kigali

The tree planting event was held in Kigali City, Gasabo District, Bumbogo Sector and 5000 trees from 10 various native tree species. This was a big symbol of a United Africa in claiming Climate Justice.

Dr Mithika Joseph Mwenda, the PACJA Executive Director addressed the public after planting some trees that he named, ‘PACJA Trees’, he highlighted the importance of tree planting. He also requested local authorities and RCCDN as the PACJA representatives in Rwanda to ensure that the planted trees grow to serve and save the planet.

One of the many ways of saving the environment in ensuring climate justice is planting trees. With that being said, RCCDN, PACJA and Green Goal Rwanda Initiative played a big role in saving the only liveable place which is the earth.
