Rwanda, in the heart of Africa, is striving for progress amidst the challenges of climate change. The Rwanda Climate Change and Development Network (RCCDN), as a network that comprises 72 organization members, the dedication remains the same: to empower communities regarding climate change and advocate for a sustainable future.

In line with the mainstreamed principles of collaboration and inclusivity, RCCDN has a straightforward mission, “To be a lead network in Rwanda that advocates and builds capacities for community resilience to climate change, justice, and equitable development.” RCCDN normally educates people about climate change and helps them adapt. All through communities to come up with long-lasting solutions and urge everyone to act on the provided policies that protect the environment.

However, RCCDN’s efforts go beyond and engage with international partners to ensure Rwanda’s climate concerns are addressed on a global scale. Through research and advocacy, striving to make sure that climate change concerns and environmental conservation are prioritized in international discussions.

Via cross-cutting dialogues and collaborations, RCCDN engages the Rwandan communities’ voices and brings in the possible call to action as well as taking a lead in them; like engaging in community work, tree planting, more awareness creation and advocacy, as well as capacity building and addressing pressing environmental challenges.
